As the Eid holiday approaches, everyone looks forward to getting time off to spend with their families. With the end of the Eid Al-Adha holiday, find out the official working hours for banks and employees in the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia.

Official working hours for banks after Eid Al-Adha

The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority is responsible for Saudi banks. Therefore, the holiday hours for banks are determined based on what is announced by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority. The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority has previously announced that the banks’ holiday will begin at the end of the working day on Thursday, June 22nd, which corresponds to the 4th of Dhu al-Hijjah. It has also confirmed that work will resume and employees will return to work on Sunday, July 2nd, which corresponds to the 14th of Dhu al-Hijjah according to the Umm al-Qura calendar. As for the Saudi Arabian Riyal Interbank Express, work was suspended at the end of the working day on Monday, June 26th, which corresponds to the 8th of Dhu al-Hijjah. Work is scheduled to resume on Sunday, July 2nd, which corresponds to the 14th of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Hijri calendar for the year 1444.

Private sector return to work after Eid Al-Adha

The Ministry of Human Resources has specified the Eid Al-Adha holiday for employees in the private and non-profit sectors to end at the end of the working day on Tuesday, June 27th, which corresponds to the 29th of Dhu al-Hijjah. The holiday is expected to last for five consecutive days, and employees will return to work on Sunday, July 2nd, for those who have a weekly Friday off. For those who have a Friday and Saturday off, work will resume on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, immediately after the end of the holiday.

Government sector working hours after Eid Al-Adha

The Ministry of Human Resources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the start date of the Eid Al-Adha holiday for employees in the government sector. It started on the previous Thursday, which was June 22nd, corresponding to the 4th of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Hijri calendar. It has been confirmed that employees will return to work on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, and the 16th of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Hijri calendar 1444.

تقرر منح الموظفين في القطاعات الخاصة والبنوك والحكومية إجازة رسمية بعد عيد الأضحى لقضاء وقت مع العائلة. ستنتهي إجازة البنوك ويعود الموظفون للعمل في الأحد 2 يوليو ، بينما ستعود القطاعات الخاصة للعمل في الأحد 2 يوليو أيضًا لمن يحصل على إجازة أسبوعية الجمعة وفي الاثنين 3 يوليو لمن يحصل على إجازة أسبوعية الجمعة والسبت. أما القطاع الحكومي فيعود للعمل في الثلاثاء 4 يوليو.
