Reports reveal conditions for selling Imam Ashour
Club Meteiland from Denmark has set a condition for selling their midfielder, Imam Ashour, amid recent rumors about Zamalek and Al Ahly’s desire to sign the player.
Meteiland officially announced that their player, Imam Ashour, will be absent until the end of the season due to injury. He has returned to Egypt for treatment and to begin his rehabilitation program under the supervision of Egypt’s national team doctor, Mohamed Abu El-Ala.
The Danish newspaper “Tipsbladet” stated that the departure of Imam Ashour from Meteiland this summer is possible, as he joined them from Zamalek during the winter transfer window for $3 million.
The newspaper added that Imam Ashour has not been able to adapt to the team’s playing style since joining in January, as he struggles with the 4-4-2 formation used by the coaching staff.
If the Meteiland management decides to let go of Imam Ashour, they will not settle for a lower amount than the one they paid Zamalek in January.
The newspaper emphasized that Imam Ashour is of interest to both Al Ahly and Zamalek, but it is possible for Ashour to remain with Meteiland as he still has 4 years left on his contract.
